Barbara Baffer is Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications and a member of Ericsson’s North American Executive Leadership Team. She has more than 24 years of experience in leadership positions with Ericsson.
Baffer directs Ericsson’s North American external and internal corporate affairs and communication activities. Her role includes initiating, managing and maintaining relations with external parties, including press, media, regulators and legislators. Additionally, she is responsible for Ericsson’s government and industry relations teams in Washington D.C. and Ottawa, Canada.
In her current role, Baffer is responsible for implementation and execution of the Ericsson brand, as well as communication strategies, creation of regional communications plans and securing relevant targets. She oversees brand implementation and execution for long-term growth, provides professional insight to senior management on communications issues and manages the company’s charitable-giving program for North America.
Baffer serves as the Chairperson for the Board of Directors to the CTIA Foundation, a member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Board of Directors in Dallas, elected as a member of the Dallas Executive Women’s Roundtable (EWR), co-chair of the Federal Communications Bar Association Texas Chapter and a board member of the Collin County Business Association. Baffer also served as the 2014 Metroplex Technology Business Council Gala Chair and will also serve as its 2015 Chair.
Baffer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from Lynchburg College
