Waddah is an experienced digital transformation consultant and currently serves as a board member for Africa ICT Alliance (AfICTA) where he works in multiple initiatives and projects that aim to build the digital capacity of the continent. He is also a member of Harvard Business Review Global Advisory Council where he helps the editorial team in research management for articles in digital transformation, operation excellency and using artificial intelligence in business.
He is the founder and president at Institute of Tomorrow, a think tank that works to tackle the top-ranked challenges in East Africa in health, education, energy, peacebuilding & food security. The Institute has been selected by University of Pennsylvania as one of the top new think tanks in the world for the year 2016, later, Waddah was nominated for the Desmond Tutu Fellowship which recognizes the Future African Leaders and the MIPAD “100 Most Influential People of African Descent under 40” award.
In 2017, Cisco Systems selected Waddah as “Cisco Champion” for his efforts in extending innovative consulting services and for adding digital and social value to Cisco’s regional brand, he was the recipient of Martha Rivers Ingram Leadership Award which recognizes outstanding performance of individuals who demonstrate leadership, commitment, integrity and philanthropy.
