On July 31, 2014, Dr. Basheerhamad Shadrach, A4AI’s Asia Coordinator, presented at a workshop programme on the “Assessment of Nepal’s Telecommunication Market and Spectrum Issues.”
Dr. Shadrach’s presentation looked at the current state of connectivity in Nepal and explored the social and economic benefits of increased broadband access, highlighting the work that A4AI is doing to drive down the cost to come online.
The event was hosted in Kathmandu by the Nepal Telecommunications Authority, in conjunction with ITU and the GSMA, and featured three additional presentations on current telecommunications and spectrum issues from private sector and international organisation experts.
