Kemly Camacho

Founder and General Coordinator, Sula Batsu


Kemly Camacho is co-founder and current general coordinator of the Sulá Batsú Cooperative, a self-managed associative company that works on the issue of digital technologies for local development and that in turn encourages, supports and promotes the development of technology-based collaborative ventures aimed at solving social problems.

Camacho is a researcher and professor at the University of Costa Rica and the Technological Institute of Costa Rica. She is currently vice president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies (CAMTIC) of Costa Rica, associate member of the Telecommunications Commission of Central America (COMTELCA), was part of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Cooperative Development and is a member of the Advisory Council of MSMEs of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Commerce of Costa Rica and represents civil society in the National Commission of Open Data. She is part of the Latin American Network for Research on Appropriation of Digital Technologies (RIAT) and the Clacso Group on the same subject. Kemly is also part of the High Level Commission of the Gender, Science and Technology Policy of Costa Rica.
