Announcing the Winning Logo for the Africa Summit on Women and Girls in Technology

The judges have spoken, and we are delighted to announce the winner of the logo contest for the Africa Summit on Women & Girls in Technology.

Our winner is the design produced by Atadja Godfred Seyram Kwesi. Congratulations, Seyram!

Seyram is a media and international development professional who is passionate about creativity, innovation, and technology. He is a fifth year medical student enrolled at Hebei North University, China, and living in the Greater Accra Region.

Outside his studies, Seyram is the Head of Creativity at iBLEND MEDIA, a design company providing solutions to clients in Ghana and abroad. iBLEND MEDIA has set up a non-governmental organization called FACT GHANA (Foundation for the Advancement of Communication Technology) that is dedicated to empowering people, especially women and youth, through technology.

In his own words:

“Technology has much to offer Ghanaians and Africa as a whole. I heard about the logo contest on social media while conducting research and decided to be on board to help contribute to women’s development in ICT in Africa. I believe that when women get into technology, they do great things and improve lives, but most often they lack opportunities in the technology world.”

More than 40 individuals from 8 countries participated in the contest, with some designers inspired to submit several ideas for the logo. Honorable mentions include designs by Roland Mawunyo Dogoe and Elisha Dzidefo Honutse.

Roland graduated with a degree in fine arts from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. When producing art, he enjoys merging disparate elements to create a harmonious piece, and focuses on experimenting with the vast array of tools technology offers for artistic expression.

Elisha is a final-year student in the Masters in Architecture programme at KNUST. Elisha also engages in various design and marketing projects as a personal interest outside academic study, and is committed to contributing his talents to champion better quality of life for all people.
