A4AI member Digicel recently announced a new partnership in Jamaica with Cyber School Technology Solutions (CSTS), an organization aiming to provide high quality digital education to children around the world.
Digicel will be providing tablets with access to its 4G mobile data plan at discounted rates to participating schools. Through their tablets, students and teachers of Math and Sciences will be able to access web tutorials of CSTS course materials anytime and anywhere.
Hampton High, the first school to join the initiative, has already received 800 tablets from Digicel. Until now, the CSTS service had only been offered through agreement with schools and accessible only on PCs.
Digicel is a mobile phone network based in Jamaica and operates in 31 markets across the Caribbean, Central America and Asia-Pacific.
